- The American Communication Association (ACA)
is a not-for-profit organization, a virtual
professional association with actual presence

National Debate Tournament (NDT)

one annual tournament, it describes an entire
style of debate. It is the same as Japanese
academic debate and American high school
"policy" debate.
Cross-Examination Debate Association (CEDA)
- CEDA, founded in 1972, is a kind of academic
debate. It is the largest debate organisation
in the United States.
American Parliamentary Debate Association
- Founded in 1981, and student-run, it organises
most parliamentary debate in the Northeast
United States.
National Parliamentary Debate Association
- Founded in 1992, and faculty-run, it organises
parliamentary debate in the Western United
States
